Community Liaison| Margarita Alvarez (she/her)

MARGARITA ALVAREZ was born and raised in the Roaring Fork Valley and graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, with a BA in International Affairs, a BA in Spanish, and a double minor in Business and Political Science. She moved to Philadelphia to explore the East coast but found her way back to the Rocky Mountains with a deeper appreciation for her home and community.

Since then, she has focused on growing the valley's Spanish newspaper, el Sol del Valle, through her community outreach and marketing efforts. She also does creative freelance work and is a part of the Latino Advisory Board for the Glenwood Chamber of Commerce. As a strong believer in life-long learning she constantly searches for a good read and ways to push herself.
