ALLISON ALEXANDER has spent a lifetime following her curiosity. She is a multi-hyphenate with extensive experience and success across multiple sectors as well as a seasoned entrepreneur.
As a child, she moved constantly with her military family, which sparked her fascination with humans and passion for supporting the community. These early experiences also provided a foundation for her understanding that all life circumstances are temporary and that a life fully lived embraces all that is.
Her childhood experience laid the foundation for her passion for storytelling, ultimately guiding her toward a master’s in library science. It is storytelling that brought her to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2019 as she moved to Aspen to serve as the children’s librarian at the Pitkin County Library. While she exited the role in 2022 to focus on serving nonprofits, her tenure allowed her to connect directly with children and families in our community. It provided her an intimate opportunity to understand their unique experiences and perspectives, which continue to inform her work and leadership.
