When you give to VOICES, you are directly supporting the amplification of voices that often go unheard. Your donation stays right here in our community to fund:
Artist Fees: Ensuring our local storytellers and performers are paid fairly for their work.
Project Materials: Providing the tools needed for our creative programming.
Production Costs: Lighting, sound, and venue rentals that bring our community’s stories to the stage.
Accessibility: Keeping our ticket prices low (or free) so that everyone in our community can participate.
-
Absolutely! VOICES is a community-driven organization, and we thrive on the energy, talents, and stories of people like you. There are several ways to join the movement:
Behind the Scenes: We are always looking for volunteers to help with our On Stage productions. Whether it’s ushering, tech support, or helping with event setup, our shows couldn't happen without our volunteer team.
Share Your Story: Are you a storyteller or musician? We are constantly seeking fresh voices to take the stage. If you have a story to tell or music to share, we want to hear from you.
Lead a Project: As we grow, we occasionally look for Project Directors to help us expand our programming. If you have a vision for a community storytelling project, let’s talk!
Ready to jump in? Email us at hello@voicesrfv.org to start a conversation about how your unique talents and voice can support VOICES.

Absolutely! We are incredibly grateful for non-monetary gifts that help us keep our production costs low and our artistic quality high. In-kind support is a vital part of how VOICES operates.
Examples of what we love to receive:
Professional Services: From legal and accounting to marketing and strategic consulting (much like the invaluable consulting services currently donated to our Board).
Equipment & Space: We are currently powered by the generous use of mics from SOL Theatre. We also welcome the use of rehearsal spaces or tech gear.
Gift Cards: We use gift cards as a direct way to support and thank our artists and storytellers for their time and vulnerability.
Program/Project Needs: Set pieces, costumes, food, art supplies, etc. Honestly, the list is endless and each project has it’s own specific needs. Reach out to us for. more details.
Because VOICES is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 81-3931536), your in-kind donation may be tax-deductible!
For Goods: We can provide a written acknowledgment of your gift. (Note: The IRS requires the donor, not the nonprofit, to determine the "fair market value" of the items).
For Services: While the IRS generally does not allow a deduction for "time" or "services" themselves, out-of-pocket expenses related to those services often are deductible.
Have something to share? If you have something you’d like to share that could benefit VOICES, please contact us, as we’d love to find a home for your generosity!

We absolutely encourage this! It is truly the gift that keeps on gifting. Whether you want to celebrate a loved one’s legacy or honor a storyteller in your life, we make it easy to dedicate your contribution.
When you make your gift, simply let us know who the donation is for. We are happy to list their name on our website as a tribute, or we can send a personalized letter to the recipient (or their family) to let them know a gift was made in their name. It’s a powerful way to ensure their story continues to inspire others through the work of VOICES.
